Research Licensing.

CC BY 4.0 with named exceptions.

Standard license: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

Published Ziru Labs research is released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) with Ziru Labs attributed as author. The license permits reuse, adaptation, citation, derivative work, and translation by any party with attribution. Attribution should include the title, author ("Ziru Labs"), the date, the version, the permalink ID, and a link to the canonical URL on this site.

Exceptions.

The standard CC BY 4.0 license does not extend to:

  1. Block diagrams in full mechanism-level detail. Block diagrams reproduced on this site at the public-tier abstraction may be cited and reused under CC BY 4.0. Full mechanism-level block diagrams provided to NDA counterparties are confidential under the applicable mutual non-disclosure agreement.
  2. Patent-relevant specific content. Content that embodies patent-relevant claims of Ziru Labs' filed or pending applications is excluded from the CC BY 4.0 grant. Such content is marked where it appears.
  3. Logos, trademarks, and brand identity. The Ziru Labs name, logo, brand identity, color palette, and visual system are trademarks of the company and are not subject to the research license.

Patent grant.

Publication of research under CC BY 4.0 does not constitute a license to any patent rights of Ziru Labs. Patent licensing is a separate counterparty workflow handled through the Engage page.

Commercial republication.

Republication of Ziru Labs research in a commercial context (e.g. paywalled industry publications, branded white-label distribution) is permitted under CC BY 4.0 with attribution. Counterparties interested in syndicated or branded distribution should route through press@zirulabs.com.

Versioning and updates.

Each piece of research is versioned. Substantive updates produce a new version (e.g. v1.0 → v1.1) and are reflected in the version string in the article header and in the BibTeX/APA/Chicago citation formats available via the citation modal on each research article.
